About the Book:

"Phytochemistry and Pharmacology of Important Medicinal Plants" uncovers the hidden chemical components of various plant products that are used extensively in Ayurvedic and allopathic medicine. This book is an essential tool for practitioners and students, as it provides a comprehensive understanding of the chemical makeup of each decoction and syrup, including how each individual component serves as a drug.

Through detailed research and analysis, this book reveals how certain plant-based chemicals can have multiple medicinal properties, including antioxidant, bactericidal, hypotensive, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, anticancer, antiatherogenic, anticlotting, anti-aging, and immuno-stimulatory effects. For instance, garlic syrup and oil contain allicin and its polymer form ajoene, which serve as a prime example of the multiple benefits of phytochemistry.

"Phytochemistry and Pharmacology of Important Medicinal Plants" is an indispensable reference guide that will enhance your understanding of the chemical and medicinal properties of the plants that we use to promote health and wellness.
