About the Book
This book is now adapted into SI Units for the convenience of students. The third edition was completely rewritten and expanded. The previous editions endeavoured to show how a few basic concepts may be combined and applied to a wide variety of practical situations that are encountered by engineers. Another purpose was to help the student develop the logical, orderly proceses of thinking that characterize an engineer. Both of these objects have been emphasised to an even greater extent in this revised edition.
